Karen DOYLE  BUCKWALTER, MSW, LCSW, Director of Program Strategy at Chaddock, a multi-service agency providing a range of residential, educational, and community-based services for youth, birth through age 21, and their families. While at Chaddock, she has been instrumental in the development of an innovative residential program for adolescents, ages 8 – 16, with Attachment Disorders and Developmental Trauma.

One of the only programs of its kind serving older adolescents, Chaddock’s Developmental Trauma and Attachment Program (DTAP) has served youth from 30 different states in the U.S. originating from 11 different countries. Karen is a Certified Theraplay Therapist, Trainer and Supervisor.

Dr. Kristie BRANDT is an internationally known teacher, clinician, and consultant, and directs the Parent-Infant & Child Institute in Napa, CA that provides clinical services for children age 0-5, consultation for parents and providers, and professional training. She is also an Assistance Clinical Professor of Pediatrics V.F. at U.C. Davis School of Medicine, and a Child Trauma Academy Fellow with Dr. Bruce Perry. Brandt is lead editor of the book “Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health: Core Concepts & Clinical Practice”, and an endorsed Infant-Family & Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist. Brandt has been actively using VIT since 2003 in home visits, clinic settings, and supervision sessions, and has attended yearly 3-day trainings with Dr. Downing for over 12 years.

Christina LANSDOWN, LMFT, specializes in Infant-Parent and Early Childhood Mental Health and Somatic Psychotherapy. She has been studying with Dr. Downing and honing her practice in VIT since her participation in the Napa Infant Parent Mental Health Fellowship in 2010. Cristina RIVA CRUGNOLA, Associate professor of Developmental Psychology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, where she is co-responsible for the Counseling Center for students. Psychoanalyst, she is a member of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society and the International Psychoanalytical Association. She studied the impact of maternal attachment and mother-child emotional regulation modalities on infant attachment, identifying early risk indicators. She coordinates a prevention project aimed at adolescent mothers, entitled PRERAYMI (Promoting responsiveness, emotion regulation and attachment in young mothers and infants) in which Video Intervention Therapy is used.
